If your car is basically stock then adding a CAI isn't going to really make much of a difference outside of the induction noise and a slight change in exhaust tone. As far as brands, you are going to open a whole can of worms here but there doesn't seem to be a huge difference in performance between the intakes from the spotty testing that has been performed so far (queue impending essay rebuttals from vendors in 3..2..1..). Dry filters are in general less restrictive than oiled filters and will pick up a couple more HP on certain intake systems (Rotofab I believe being one). However, the downside is that they generally also don't filter as well. If you search you will find atleast a dozen threads full of pages on this topic.
