A lot. I don't know of anyone that has ever exactly measured that. I know what we have picked up on cars with restrictive exhausts when the cutout/s were opened. Seen over 40whp on my own 02 Trans Am, but I had a stock catback on that car.

The 6-7psi opening is useful because otherwise it would just be a loud cutout. These things are made to try to have something that has a streetable sound level and more power under full throttle/boost.

You're exactly right! I'll have to get with my R&D team on that idea! I will say that the placement on the English Racing piece has to be LOUD AF in the car when it's open. You never want to point the cutout straight down, as the sound waves reflect off the ground and right back into the cabin. On the same 02 Trans Am, that car was ear-splittingly loud with the cutout open and WOT applied! Louder than any car I've ever been in. Had to have the cutout relocated.
