It's clear that the bang for buck of the 1LE is unbeatable...

It's sure i'll be able to buy a 1LE cash, it's not sure for the GS since i also will have to buy a Colorado V6 Z71 (around 30k$) for the mountain and snow trips...

So $$ is an important subject...But man i love the widebody vettes ....

I'll see where my finance will be at my arrival to make my choice...

Concerning the color, i'm between hyperblue and white for the 1LE... the GS i like dark grey, blue and yellow...

I was EXACTLY in your boat... even the color choices...

Bottom line for me was a 1LE will give you 90-95% of the performance of a grandsport... and the GS sticky but super soft tires will barely last you 750-1000 miles .... the good years on the Camaro are supposed to be longer lasting...

Money is a big factor.... like you I can't go without a sports car for long....

However in Canada ... the difference in price was almost $40,000 .... one could almost buy 2 1LE 's for price of one 2LT GS....

Also I like to tinker.... that leaves almost not of money to mod my car to be LIGHTER.... and eventually more naturally aspirated power ....see my signature for my project car.

Don't forget insurance....can be a big difference...the technology of the Camaro is newer and better...

If all continues as planned... I will reduce the weight by 150 lbs ( equivalent sprung weight) that will be about 3580 lbs... within 150 of a C7 GS...

( 0r 77 lb sprung, 28 lbs unsprung weight)

And there's more left on the table including an aluminum driveshaft and lighter/ better clutch...

By the way... the wet sump in the Camaro is good to 1.2 lateral G....

The was tested and proven by AL Oppenheiser and the Camari6 team.
