I guess if you want to live at home. I couldn't wait to get out my parents house and live on my own. I was making $33K/yr at the time. $725/mo rent and driving an older but paid for car. Would take that anyday being stuck at home with a rich man's car payment. But that's me.
Yeah $550/mo car payment on $10/hr. That's gotta be a world record LOL.
I've never owned a car more than $30K. But everyone has been paid for in cash or a lot put down with payments always under $200/mo.
The new car thrill wears off substantially. I couldn't fathom having a 5yr old car with a $600/mo payment that I'm almost surely upside down on.
Having lots of cash in the bank and not worrying about debt is 10x better in the long run.
