Remember, there's a whole lot more than track times that factor into what makes one car "better" than another and "better" is a very subjective term. What you should focus on is what you or the average buyer would cross shop. That is a better indication of what the user's needs are and how well a particular car fill those needs.

It looks like you didn't read my post well enough. The Camaro 1LE is not cross shopped with a GT4 and never will be. But I will be going toe to toe with my co workers GT4 at track days and we expect it to be a drivers race as to who will lap faster.
Also I'm not entirely sure how you see that the C7 isn't a comparison to the 911? Lets take a base C7 and see what it does to a base 911. It won't be pretty. Even the Carrera 4S will struggle to keep up with the C7 Z51, 911 Turbo vs Z06. I find the C7 to be very much on the same level of performance as the 911.
