I think the 6gen has a totally difference clutch. And while the changes to your hydraulic system fixed your issues, generally the root cause for what you're describing is in the clutch/pressure plate, slave, or slave-pressure plate geometry.
dont get me wrong, if i could fix it with separating the fluids over dropping the trans, I would do the same.

Separating the fluids helped a lot, but even that didn't stop the issue until I added a stainless clutch line. Just one of the reasons I didn't like my 5th gen lol...
