t-tops are just out of style now. personally i don't even know why they bother with the targa on the Corvette because i can probably count on one hand the amount of time's i've seen someone with their targa roof out.

Umm they are pretty Mich the exact same car. You just had a newer version with less miles that's all. The vast majority of leaks was because the owner didn't properly maintain the seals.
