1976 was the last year for the 455 Trans Am, as GM killed off the B-O-P 455s after that year for Buick and Pontiac but some Olds 455s were made for a few years for non-automtive use. If you had a 1979 6.6 T/A, you had a 400.

Pontiac 400 was referred to as a "6.6". It was really about 6.56 Liters

455 cubic inch engine is a little over 7.4 Liters
The Buick 455 bored out to 462 in my '70 Buick is, for instance, a fair bit over 7.5 Liters
As a small point of interest, the Olds, Pontiac, and Buick 455s were not the same.
