yeah here in CA triple digits is a misdemeanor traffic offense, the officer will show up because the D.A. will get the case and subpoena the officer, if he doesn't show he will be held in contempt.

So the hopes that the officer doesn't show isn't an option, because even if his schedule prevents him from showing, a deposition will be taken, and since it in the hands of the D.A. it won't be Citizen vs. Officer, it will be citizen vs. the court.

Bummer and not surprised!
SoCal is nice but doesn't sound like a good place for auto enthusiasts with regard to the law...
