Okay, so all he wants is a way to get her number...then in this case, DCamaro, I think you should chat her up a bit before asking for her number. She needs a reason to want to talk to you at other times besides just school. Then you can ask, "Do you want me to call you?" or GTHAVIT's "Would you mind if I call you?" This will frame her response to make it so that she essentially says, "Yes I
want you to call me."
