in 2005 ford upped the power of the mustang from 260hp to 300hp (trap speeds indicate closer to 325hp) even though they had no competition from GM. They built the 500hp GT500 in 2006-2007 even though GM didnt have anything to compete with it, so its not like fords been sitting on their butts doing nothing with the Crustang.

I thought the GT500 was trying to compete with the Vette. So saying that GM had nothing to compete with it is not true.
