I didn't think that at all. I was just saying I don't know everything about audio and video equipment. I know enough to make a good purchase on a TV and give advice on size, quality, features, etc. Ask me something about computers (RAM speed, Processor cache, hard drive RPM, 256 bit video cards, etc) and I'm a guru. I take an interest in all things electronics, I just don't know everything which is why I asked about the lens.
Does it lower the quality at all? I doubt you would use it if it did, but even I can notice subtle changes to quality in HD tvs and I nit pick way too much about my LCD computer monitors
