Honestly, I don't know yet. I should have held off on buying the roll cage until I saw what the 1/4 mile ET and 1/4 MPH is for my car after the new mods I did. If I want to race on non-private events at the drag strip. I will need a SFI cage that is certain for the ET and MPH my car runs. So, I may already need an 8-point or a 10-point, I just don't know yet. I know that sounds crazy right? But, if I "bracket" race, I will not race slower than all out FULL go, just to keep my car in a bracket range of say 9:00 to 9:99 ET. If it goes faster and a 6-point isn't a match for the ET and MPH. Then I'll need to re-do the cage straight away to race on regular race days etc.
I've came to one conclusion for sure... I don't learn very well from my past mistakes, and seems to go out of my way to do things the hardest and most difficult way possible. That's obvious with the 4 different stair step builds I've done. And it wasn't until the 4th build that I went "ALL IN". I also bought a set of Weld beadlocks and matching fronts last spring when I knew they were not really the style I really wanted. So, I bought all new Weld beadlocks rears and matching fronts a few months ago. At times I feel like I can't get out of my own way. But, I really do think there's nothing more to do at this point except drive and enjoy !
