My name is xx and I work for Multimatic dealing with a lot of these requests. I unfortunately have bad news for you… Due to how these dampers were designed, the top cover is crimped to the body, so it is unable to be taken apart without destroying the damper. This unfortunately means there is no way to rebuild them without ruining the damper.

Sorry for the bad news, if it were up to me there would be some sort of solution but at the moment there isn’t really one. Sorry again for the bad news, please let me know if you have any further questions.

That was 100% the most bone headed decision that Multimatic ever made. Not only do you lose short term business by not offering rebuildability, therefore parts sales, but you also lose long term business because no one is even going to give you a second thought over when it comes time to replace or upgrade their assemblies.

On another note, it's been known that these are not rebuildable for a while. Have you been living under a rock?
