I was able to make the ticking noise by pushing up from beneath at that certain area. Didn’t happen pushing from the top and if I held the top it wouldn’t make the ticking noise.

After some deliberation, I settled on hammer first then silicone RTV if that didn’t work.

I hammered these two sections with a small hammer, not enough to make impressions or dents. (Will take after photo once it stops raining)

No more ticking.

Nice effort to find the elusive tick.. I wouldn’t have gone that far to find it. But, if mine starts to tick, that’ll be the first place I’ll look. Thanks for sharing.
