I'd consider storing it. Or just keep doing what you're doing. That thing may be worth a good chunk of change one day with that mileage.

i purposely chose an LT1 to keep the car as basic as possible for ease of maintenance and less complexity, and wanted the fluids to get up to temp easily. its basically a total stripper outside of a sunroof and the NPP exhaust, which is fine with me. it'll stay mostly stock, as it sits now its more than enough to get plenty stupid on the street. probably a super unpopular opinion here but i don't know if i'll bother to go with wider tires any time soon, its really entertaining to be able to kick the tail out a little here and there with a lower grip limit. maybe just softer performance tires will be enough.

yeah the paint has some chips and battle scars, the doors are too damn long, and the trunk opening is silly. but that's a small price to pay to smile every day in my opinion.
I got an LT1 for similar reasons (K.I.S.S. approach). I thought having more do-dads could be asking for trouble (more stuff to go with wrong). I also don't have a lot of faith in USA-made car reliability from past experience (sorry).

Wider wheels/tires are worth it for handling (curvy roads, road course, auto x, etc.) and for driving without TCS/ESC - It transforms the car. Don't worry, it will still be REALLY easy to hang the a** out.
