The temps drops immediately when you get under boost so I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. And you’re not under any real load with the bypass open anyway so it’s not like there’s any major performance impact. Whipple did go out of their way to intercool the bypass on the 3.0 though so it must be worth a tick at the hit I’d guess.
