Within the red box we see that the other end of the piping system connects to the radiator at the top.

I studied my '22's piping system to look for a way to do a full fluid exchange. My notes of the fluid flow are at home but all of the components on the diagram match my car.
I’m 99% sure my ‘17 A8 is the same way. Radiator first, then to the lay down aux trans cooler.
