The 4s is arguably the best daily tire for the car for street use, grip-wise. I got a deal on a set of Conti ECS and after almost 4k miles subjecting them to all sorts of conditions., I still really like them. Absolutely awesome tire in the rain and still work much better than the stock SC3s in cold weather. Enough dry grip with my 1LE to take about any corner on the street as fast as I have the stones to drive it in. Some people get obsessive, but just for street use I don't know how crazy you really need to get.
