Doesn't make it "right" though, doing it right would have been making the Part properly in the first place. Had that been done, I wouldn't be in this predicament.
An oil pump certainly shouldnt crack and throw metal shrapnel through an engine 5 years into ownership with 45k miles and a perfect maintenance record.
Since they failed to make the Oil Pump last, the way to make it right would be for them to cover at least 50% only because I did get some "usage" out of it. Even then, I'm stuck without a car for 2-4 weeks while parts come in and on-top of that, there's the possibility my engine has extra wear and tear now because of their Oil Pump failing.
