I cant speak for you of course, as we all have our own opinions and perspectives. You also currently own a modded ZL1 so there's that.

As far as the GT500 being a better daily driver, it is a lot roomier and easier to see out of; but, not optimal or advised to operate in inclimate weather with the summer tires it comes with. There aren't many all-season tire options and I don't know of any available winter tires. It also has a small gas tank combined with 12 MPG avg is quite inconvenient, especially with gas prices these days. I fill up and says my projected range is 175 miles But hey its about smiles per gallon
The DCT is amazing but not the best in traffic, it can slip the clutch creeping in traffic or up hills under 5 mph, so you need to be mindful of that.
I'm really curious about those brakes, my Camaro with the 6-piston 1LE brakes stops pretty good, initial bite is just perfect (neither too weak nor overly aggressive) and braking feel is progressing from then on.

My projected range is between 350 and 400 miles after long highway drives, otherwise I don't even check the gauge , but having a 19-gallon tank sure helps.
