Guys, I have really enjoyed reading this thread! I've never owned a p car and never had the desire. I've had a 520 rwhp C5 Z06 and a stock C6 Z06. The C5 has made a great track car with a big brake kit, though the C6 tried to kill me so it was sold.
I had a 67,68 and 69 Camaro that I all hotrodded and improved with the 67 running 9's in the qtr and very respectable on the road course.
I semi retired from road racing, sold the C5 to my son and made do with a 385hp Tacoma for a few years as a dd. Picked up a 17 ZL1, added a hundred hp, track wheels, tires and pads and am in love again. I've only got $40k in this thing with less then 40k miles and though I dearly wanted to build one more first gen I'd have to spend double that to even come close to this 6th gen at the track let alone being comfortable.
