There is a manual release for the trunk and it should show it in your owners manual if you got one when you bought your car. You could google it too and I’m sure you’ll find it that way. Or, just leave the trunk unlatched but....I wouldn’t rely on that unless you are willing to figure out a way to have it not latch if by chance somebody leans on the trunk lid.
Look into the manual release of the trunk. It’s doable.
Honestly I would disconnect the battery. Or pull it right out.
