More on 2020 A10 trans servicing
This is the second time I've serviced the transmission and filter
The 2 bolts holding the trans filter are also bolts for mounting the valve body. They are aluminum single use torque + degree bolts. They can only be purchased as part of a kit # 24298876 that has all of the single use bolts for the valve body. The kit is pretty cheap < $15, I purchased the kit from my local dealer.
They are aluminum, without thread locker or sealant applied. This picture is of the bolt that came out of the transmission, I reused it once..........I did not know it was single use, but since it was aluminum I investigated it further.
The GM spec for it is M6x85, they now measure a little over 86mm long (they've been used twice). The torque is to be: First pass 44 lb-in, 2nd pass 128 degrees. I just snugged the new ones up. I have ordered some 10.9 flanged bolts to put in the next time I service the trans.
The pdf is the instruction sheet for the bolt kit
One other thing, the pan bolt torque spec is 93 lb-in. That is quite a bit and I didn't feel comfortable going that high. The OE gasket is very good, I haven't had any leaks reusing it even though using a lower torque on the pan bolts.
