Yeah, having to plug the USB stick in sucks quite a bit, I can't transfer the service manual to my phone either.
I found a workaround, though, by printing it to XPS as backup, but the XPS file is just ten thousand pages of flat images that work like paper, no search, no links, no diagram highlighting...
