Third, it did take a prepared track to get it in under the 4.0 mark. Have to wonder how an SS on a similarly prepped track would do. Could be that it would also tick in just under 4.0

The argument being given is that only shills for Ford or blatant cheaters have gone 11’s in the GT, which is false. Private owners may have gone 11’s in the SS but we don’t recognize those times for obvious reasons.
Hot Rod spent a whole day at a prepped track with a pro driver and did no better than 12.3. Cars.com went 11.9 on their third try.
