Regarding price, definitely cheaper speakers out there, if you are not an audiophile, you don't need super expensive speakers. Cost is relative in the audio world. for example, dynadio Esotar2100 tweeters cost about $1000 , just for the tweeters. Comparable audiophile tweeters from HAT will run about $580 per pair.

Those prices seem outrageous for non-audiophiles, but are par for the course for high end speakers.


Regarding the BOSE speakers in the dash, I would consider those more fullrange/midrange, and not just tweeters. The signal from the BOSE amp going to the dash speakers is likely around 400hz ~20k hz, which is just above the bass and midbass frequency range.

You can definitely run a component setup between the doors and the dash, and you can either do this using an active crossover or a passive crossover which typically comes with a component set.
