But that’s what your crowd is always obsessed about. How many mods or what’s still stock etc. funny that stuff never happens in real life.

If I was trying to go really fast I’d do drop in rods pistons anyway. Even if the motor was probably ok. It’s less than 2k and can support 1500 hp. And piece of mind. But I guess I couldn’t say stupid stuff on the internet then

Agreed. Do it the right way and minimize the risk of blowing the motor. It's not like all motors are the same. Some may handle it, while others will come apart. If money is an issue, then hold off till the cash is available.
