But that’s what your crowd is always obsessed about. How many mods or what’s still stock etc. funny that stuff never happens in real life.
If I was trying to go really fast I’d do drop in rods pistons anyway. Even if the motor was probably ok. It’s less than 2k and can support 1500 hp. And piece of mind. But I guess I couldn’t say stupid stuff on the internet then

Well my S550 didn't run 8s , but it did run high 9s.. The motor is untouched ( no oil pump gears either ) stock trans , stock converter , stock half shafts and drive shaft .. In 3 years I put a ton of 1/8 and 1/4 mile passes on it and not one problem .. I never was shooting for 9s , I was just looking for high 10s .. Procharger HO kit on E85 with a 3.50 pulley was all that was needed .. So it adds up like this Procharger HO kit and a set of drag tires and wheels came out to 7k , car was 30k out the door ( 2015 Base GT A6 3.55 gears )... So 37k I ended up with a high 9 second car ..You have to admit that is a pretty good bang for the buck .. I have a new 2018 1SS now and I'm not sure that I can do what I did with the Mustang at that price .. But I didn't buy the Camaro to do what I did with the Mustang ..
..The Camaro is not getting a super charger , it's just going to get some simple bolt ons and shoot for a good solid high to mid 11 second car..
