At first I thought it was part of the tread pattern, but on closer observation the cracks were completely random and the drivers side tire had no cracks. Some of the cracks were 2 inches long and were all about a half inch apart from each other.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? I've had r-compound tires crack on me in the past. Thought maybe the Goodyears would of had a solution to this problem.

Can't really solve an inherent problem...it's alllllll about the rubber compounds used to provide that performance we expect at high temperatures. These get brittle when it's cold.
I have not seen it, myself. I've been reading the consensus seems to be that it only happens if the tires/car is moved while really cold.
