I agree that you don't need six versions of every platform with Chevy, Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Pontiac, etc...
The difference here is that you can't get the CTS with an LT1. You can get the LT4 CTS-V, but how about a more Charger competitor. LT1 rear wheel drive, and you can use the back seat.
Use Chevy as the stripped down affordable car, and Cadillac as the luxury brand. Makes no sense to have Cadillac feature "exclusive" engines. Have Cadillac feature more luxury and high end features.
They turned the ATS sized Alpha into the Camaro, make the CTS sized Alpha the Chevelle. I'm not asking for four other versions.
