So once I noticed this was broken I babied the car over to my dad's garage for it to wait for that valve, and have the oil changed. The car ran fine the whole 15 miles trip. But once I got out to open the garage door I looked back and noticed there was a little blue smoke coming from my exhaust. I quickly got the car in and shut off.

With the pcv valve not functioning as it should, I'm sure it built up pressure. I didn't see any oil leaking out of the front seal or anywhere else, although it's the break in oil with only about 400 miles so it's still "gold". I'll give it a good look over again.

My question is, do you think I damaged the valve seals, or do you think it was just some blow by into the pistons. I did not notice any smoke on the 15 miles drive, only when I idled to open the door. If it was just blow by burning, should I be concerned or will I be alright as long as it stops smoking after the new valve goes on. If it's blow by I expect a little smoke to finish burning off what's in there, but how long should I give it?
