If you are focused on 1/4 mile times or live in an area with heavy traffic the A8/10 is probably the better choice.

I've owned several automatics in the past from different manufacturers, and every single one of them had some issue. If it wasn't rough shifting, it was constant hunting or delayed responsiveness. It looks like the A8 is a step in the right direction, but it needs work obviously.
Once I learned the manual, there was no looking back....ever. There may come a day when it's physically taxing and I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
Been rowing gears for 11 years in the Miami heavy traffic and still enjoy it.
