Every package I listed offered a significant difference from the other models, meaning horsepower and suspension changes to better suite a variety of people.
Are you saying that you would prefer not to have up-level camaros that give you more horsepower and better handling under warranty? I know damn well there are people that hate having summer only tires, and would prefer a cheaper lower level camaro.

Point is, even the Mustang's own Wiki page calls them trims....
Available trim levels included L, GL, GLX, LX, GT (1982-1993), GTS, Turbo GT (1983–84), GT-350 (1984), SVO (1984–86), Cobra (1979–81,1993), Cobra R (1993), and Ghia (1979–81).
And the fact of the matter is this, it was still a V6 Mustang, or a GT with a performance upgrade....it wasn't a "special model". The GT350, Bullitt, etc...those are special models...
Getting a slightly better suspension or slightly more powerful V6 still made it a bloody V6 Mustang!
