HUD display vibration?

I've noticed the HUD vibrates under certain conditions while driving. Over bumps, the Bose stereo is playing loud or even under certain exhaust parts under throttle. I've also noticed, that the display is slightly off level.

I know there has been a thread regarding this as far as Gen 6's go, but there was never any resolve for it. I can't be the only one with these issues obviously. So does anyone else with a Z have these issues and has anyone resolved part, or all of it?

I've had HUD in 2 of my Corvettes and never had a vibration problem but my C6 was slightly tilted (very slightly). Almost sounds like the piece that projects it to the windshield is loose.

That's what I'm wondering as well, but the other part of me wonders how difficult it is to get in there to check it out. I'd imagine you'd have to rip the dash apart to do so.

Edit: it appears the windshield has to come out before you even touch the dash. Then you have to rip the dash apart and THEN you can get in there to investigate. How annoying.

Yeah my 18 ZL1 and my 21 ZL1 have no vibration in any condition.

No vibration here, but the HUD is very slightly tilted. I've gotten used to it.

2019+ software already allows rotating the HUD image.

That sucks and it looks like out of warranty. Six Vettes and four Camaro's and no HUD issues.

You can adjust that in the menus. I adjusted mine too. Looked like it was going downhill slightly.

Where is that on HPTuners? Or is that something that is accessible via scan tool?

I can't adjust it, 2018 here with the "old" MyLink infotainment software that has no such capability. I don't think this is accessible via HP Tuners either, as this logic isn't in the ECM, TCM or FSCM, and the dispaly rotation angle is probably hardcoded anyway.

Ah man, that sucks. I was really hoping there was a way to adjust it, because it's not totally level. It's a little annoying. Oh well I guess.

No HUD vibration issues in my 2020 2SS... Sounds like something is loose somewhere...

That's cool, mine is fine but I didn't know this. I really need to crack the owners manual soon.
