Is wire harness relocation necessary on newer Camaros?

I'm hearing that wire harness relocation is not necessary on 2020 and later Camaros when running wider tires while some are saying it is. Anyone know what is the case?

Depends on what size tires you are going to... If you are going to 305/30's then you are fine, if you go to 305/35, you probably should relocate the harness as a precaution...

I see that you drive a 2020 SS so it looks like it is still necessary.

I'm thinking 285/35 square. The diameter would only be a 0.2" difference between that and stock. A 305/35 would be 0.7" from stock. I'm now wondering how 285/35 would fare.

I think you'll be fine with 285/35... Honestly, I moved my harness simply because I was already in there so figured the 15 minutes was worth the effort so I didn't have to worry...

Here is a guy running MRR 017 square setup on an SS with 285/35's: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=619771
