Just got kicked in the nuts - Installed flex kit and cant use LOL

Welp good thing it only took me about 45 minutes and $250. So as some of you know I am in the middle of a crazy C7 build where skies the limit. The Camaro on the other hand is my daily. I take that girl golfing, road trips, the bars, you get the idea. LOL It has a maggie, intake, x pipe, and Corsa. Runs and sounds perfect. NO plans to touch the fueling on this car. Well just spent almost $100 filling her up at $5.09 a gallon in Norcal and said I am over this chit and installed Lethal Garages flex system last night. I talked to a very reputable tuner and was told my LT1 fuel can not handle E85. I was told I would need to do fuell LT4 fueling and a boost a pump. Well I am doing all that as we speak on the C7 but have 0 plans to do anything like that to Camaro. So now it looks like I installed the kit and Aeroforce gauge for no damn reason. Lesson learned here boys research.

I don’t believe that an otherwise stock LT1 requires LT4 fueling to run E85. There are numerous threads on the topic. There are several reputable tuners selling E85 kits for the LT1 that only included the sensor, wideband, and tuning to enable E85 in the ECU.

Oops. My mistake. I misread and was thinking the Maggie was on the C7.

LOL Josh is correct. The ole Camaro has a 2300 on her. HAHA My actual tuner said I can run a blend if interested on LT1 fueling. So we shall see. The C7 on the other hand has an A&A kit with a host of goodies. I am chasing 1000hp on that build and should be close. :twitch: My fricking C8 needs to get here already so I stop dumping money in these other cars. I got issues. LOL

I believe I mentioned a while back you wouldn't be able to run e85 on the Camaro with stock fuel system. I believe I also said you would need the full LT4 fuel system to run any E. I also doubt you will get to full E85 with the LT4 stuff unless you turn the boost down to 6psi.

King is spot on, with our LT1 we weren't able to run much of any boost with full E85. If i remember correctly it was like a bit over 450 RWHP when we hit the limit. So while we still use the stock LT1 high side, all fueling over the 450 (to the current 728 RWHP) is handled by the port injection system.
