Congrats Chaz I knew you would nail it again. Thanks for taking the time to keep us, for lack of better words, entertained, with these renders.

Outstanding work!!! You were dead on!

R.Salcido 05-15-2015 12:47 PM

It's like u were the actual designer for the car! Good job brotha!

YoungGun1993 05-15-2015 01:54 PM

Chaz, congrats and thanks for all the time you put in rendering this car!

Trans damm 05-15-2015 02:49 PM

Chaz when you get some free time maybe render a few Z versions you envision. I don't hate the new SS. I think it's a good starting point for a killer Z.

Number 3 05-15-2015 04:36 PM

Chazcron, looks like you were really close. I was hoping you weren't. Sadly I am hoping good pics of the car inspire me. As of now with pics of a monitor showing the car I am very underwhelmed.

I'm with you Number 3. I wasn't expecting it to be completely different but I'm not impressed so far. I know a lot of people hated the refresh rear diffuser but at least it helped break up the rear end. The 6th gen rear fascia just looks really tall without something to break it up.

Neos281 05-15-2015 05:10 PM

Agree! Chaz did an amazing job with the renderings. Very much appreciate it!

HuJass 05-15-2015 06:09 PM

I knew he was just about dead on.
He's quite talented.

LStick 05-15-2015 06:39 PM

Great job !!!!!

alcal1084 05-15-2015 07:23 PM

Chaz get your legal team ready because CNBC used your rendering for there show. Did they ask you for permission? The real car will be seen tomorrow.

Dag, I want to see that. Hope someone has it DVRed. Last time I made the news it was FOX news.

really ?

obzidian 05-16-2015 12:01 PM

Regardless of how you feel about it, what we saw on CNBC is the car that will be revealed today. Those pics don't look like renderings.

One more for the road. Just a render matching the angle of the hood pic, which was integrated in Photoshop. Ignore the naysayers, this is one bad mofo. Thanks for all the kind comments and positive feedback, especially those who helped me shape this render to be as close to the final as it was.

i think later it Needs a pchop thread ;)

chazcron 05-16-2015 05:39 PM

Agreed. But please, let's not call it "photochops". I hate that term.

BengalZL1 05-16-2015 11:05 PM

One of you boys needs to get on some shops using the photos from today! SS in the new colours, black rims, black hood etc!

You nailed that thing chaz, can't believe it! Nice work!

DagoCountyGee 05-16-2015 11:16 PM

Almost forgot, great job on nailing this Chaz

Number 3 05-16-2015 11:49 PM

Kudos and many thanks, Chazcron.

You provided a valued service to us and I'm sure to the OEMs that will now be taking more significant steps to hide the shapes and features of future cars...............or at least they should. You pulled the curtain back many months ahead and were giving us 80 and 90% well before the reveal.

Thank you!!!!!!!

know1tv 05-17-2015 05:45 AM

Fantastic job, Chaz!!!

chazcron, I was talking to the Camaro Team last night and stated they needed to step up their game when it comes to you and camouflaging the 7th GEN, they all agreed.

Love it. I heard the Ford guys had grudging respect for my work, too. Thanks for asking them about me. I was stunned when they elected to fly it around Nurburgring with nothing but stickers. It was like they were daring me to take on the challenge. I may not be so lucky next time, a victim of my own success.

I wish that were so, Boss. I was laid off last year after twenty years at the same photo studio as the lead retoucher. Market is pretty tight here in Cinci. Now you know how I had so much time to devote to the 2016 Camaro. Alas, no payday in it. Did it for the love of muscle cars.

Anyone know of someone in need of an ace retoucher? I can work remotely.

Let me reiterate how grateful I am for everybody's interest and feedback.

I decided I can glean enough information from existing camo shots to craft a rough 3D model. Keep in mind that I am using my own interpretation of the camo shots.

As usual, I start with the front clip. Please excuse the Mustang wheels, as they are all I have at the moment. If you love it, hate it, or somewhere in between, at least join the discussion. If you have any insider info, PM me.

Let's get this started.

It was created in Animation Master, all my attempts to export failed and I no longer have a computer that will run the version of it that I have, so I have rendered my last Camaro. I'd need a financial incentive to purchase the latest version.

I can still visualize in Photoshop, but then, so can anybody.

Who knows what concept/cameo/spyshot will grab my attention next.

i appreciate all the positive feedback I've gotten on my renders, it was a joy to create them.

joemosfet 09-27-2015 05:46 PM

Ahh, thats too bad. No problem, though, soon I'm sure somebody will find out and do a 3d scan of it.
