Wheel/Tire size help
I've been looking at getting the Niche Vice M226. I really want to run this wheel but I think the +35mm offset for the fronts are going to give me trouble.
These wheels come in 19x8.5, 19x9.5, 20x10.5, 20x9. All +35mm offsets. Ideally I want to run: M226 20x9 +35 fronts 285/30-20 and M226 20x9 +35 rears 305/30-20 Would this fit with any issues? I can't find a smaller offset for the front for this wheel... I would be okay with dropping wheel size to fit if anyone can help out. Any help would be appreciated, thank you |
Those tires seem too wide for a 9in rim, especially the 305.

As mentioned above, 9" wheel is going to be nowhere near a 305 wide tire.
265mm is going to be about right for a 9" wide wheel. Ideally you are going to want an 11" wheel for 305s BK |
Would a 20x10.5 work with that tire size? (305/30-20?) I'd be okay with running a 285/30ZR20 in the rear as well if that's possible.
Only thing I'm set on is these wheels and running a Michelin Sport summer tire. I don't mind the sizes of the tire/wheel as long as they will fit. I found one post of a camaro6 guy running these wheels with, 20x9 20x10.5 + 35 with 245 in the front and a 305 in the rear. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=554096 What do you think would be the biggest tire size in the front with a 20x10.5 wheel that wouldn't hit the suspension / cause issues? If that's what could fit a 305 as well? Thanks guys and sorry for all the questions. I've been on these forums for hours and reading tire/wheel setups :( |
20x10 and 20x11 or bust 20x9 is super narrow not worth it

https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/c...rim-size-chart When you deviate from the normal Chevy spec'd sizes and offsets the information tends to get a little fuzzy. Some people have luck with a size, and others wont. The standard SS is 8.5"/9.5" with 245/275 tires front to rear. The SS 1LE is 10"/11" 285/305 tires front to rear. I can't provide any feedback on offsets other than what GM has spec'd out already. Keep in mind that if you end up running a square setup (same front and rear wheel/tire), that you can rotate the tires for even wear, and will also extend the mileage warranty on most tires. Quote:

I just picked up a set of niche m259, 20x9 +35 front and 20x10.5 +35 rear.
I'm going to be putting my rears on the front (275/35) and ordering new rears (305/35) assuming I can confirm 305/35 won't rub. bear in mind I'm in an LT so the fronts were .5 wider and 1.0 wider in the rear for me. If you're just going for the look, it should be fine.. you need a spacer up front since it's going to be sunken vs stock, especially for an SS. If you're going for performance I'd probably look at a different brand with wider wheels and better offsets I'm using this to compare fitments https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...h=9&offset2=35 |

Are you going to rub with a 275 on a 20x9 with +35mm offset without a spacer? If you don't, I think that's what I want to go with to be honest. For the performance aspect, my current tires are stock wheels with 245 in the front and a 275 in the rear, so this will be an upgrade and a much wider tire than what I have. I want to obviously keep the handling ability, and get better traction. I won't see a track probably, but spirited driving. Quote:
I appreciate all the help guys, thank you |

As far as rubbing I should be fine. I'm doing extended studs and a 20mm spacer in the front. I'll be away from the strut vs stock and 10.5 mm taller tire. I'm pretty sure I'll have room. I Will have to relocate the harness in the rear apparently. Also I just realized V6 1LE and stock 1SS have the same wheel specs |

I actually just ordered MRR FS01 wheels 20x10 +23mm front and 20x11 +43mm rear. Thanks for all the help guys. |
Please post photos when you get the FS01's mounted up. I'd love to see how they look.

Might settle with a Eagle F1 or a Continental Extreme Contact to get a 285 front -> 305 rear setup, which tire rack has in stock. |
