Illuminated bowtie 2020 SS

So I bought the kit, part #84329529, which is supposed to fit the 2020 SS. Has anyone else tried it?
Tried to install today, but the stock bracket doesnt fit the illuminated bow tie. It appears to be the right kit from looking at harness. Its dfferent from the 16-18. Also different part#

Update... According to the install instructions at the dealer, you have to drill a hole in the stock bracket for the connector to ft through it. Although there is still the issue of the grille... More to come

I have been discussing with my dealer. There is no other bracket, so the stock one is it. I ordered a new one, but its 3 weeks out. Will keep updating

Could not wait and just did it this afternoon. Came out awesome!

Had to cut a bit of the grille off, but its in between the backplate and the bracket so nothing shows.

I just purchased a 2017 with the illuminated bowtie. Mine looks to have water damage inside the clear plastic. Anyone else have this problem ? Also it doesn't light up very bright, not sure if the water damage is blocking the light somewhat or maybe a wiring issue. I also noticed the bowtie isn't secure it wiggles a little back and forth. Not enough that I'm concerned its going to fall off but wonder if something wasn't installed right from the beginning. I know it was dealer installed. My 3yr bumper to bumper is over but I do have an active 3month/5,000km CPO warranty on the car I'd think any problems with this would be covered ? Just hate taking my car into the dealer for anything though.

The fact that the bowtie is dim is normal, many threads on here are mentioning it.

But the condensation inside doesn't seem to be normal. I would assume that these should be sealed. I'd first call your dealer and ask them over the phone if it is normal and if your warranty would cover it.

A small wiggling is normal, too, unfortunately plastic retainer clip tolerances are pretty wide on this one.

I agree that it is dim. Hard to see during the day for sure. However, the 2020, where the harness plugs into the headlight harness, seems to be a tad brighter than the one in my 2018.
Here is a pic from last night

The moisture certainly seems odd though. My old 2017 had the LEDs go out in half the bowtie.

What bracket did you need to buy? I'm trying to do this to my wife's 2020 SS and was about to order the illuminated bowtie but saw your write up. Also can you elaborate on what exactly you needed to trim to make it work. I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you!
