ZL1 front Brakes on my 1LE

Hi Does anyone know if I buy a ZL1 front brake package, can I use them on my SS1LE.
I know the ZL1 has a bigger diameter rotor.
Someone is selling a very low mileage zL1 brake set up. I just want to make sure, it is a direct bolt in. With no modifications
Thank you

Thx

Always thought the SS/1LE already has the same 6-piston Brembo that the ZL1’s did…?!?

No Zl1 has bigger diameter rotors and a different caliber to fit the bigger rotor

Nah, they're close but not quite the same, as CC2018SS1LE alluded to. Rear brakes are the same, but the ZL1 and the ZL1 1LE both have 390 mm (15.354") rotors, while the SS 1LE has 370 mm (14.567") rotors up front.

The pads are also very different, check out this pic, ZL1 on the left and SS 1LE on the right (courtesy our fellow member L78toLT1). The delta isn't as dramatic as the picture suggests, and these SS 1LE pads are actually preeetty big, too, but the ZL1 pads do have a wider sweep area and less material cut off along the inner diameter of the rotor.

Finally, the calipers are also slightly different, of course, although those are the closest of the three.

Yes, the front caliper and rotor are different.

The rear brakes are not the same UNLESS the SS 1LE and ZL1/ZLE have the new for '22 & up BCD copper free brake package.
ZL1 brakes have been done on an SS 1LE before here on the forum. Here is one member's info:

Great way to add more heat capacity(mass) on an SS 1LE.

Aren't the RPO BCD fronts the same as on the Blackwing?

Thank you for your input, but the link, has nothing to do with brakes

Thank you, very informative, but do you know if I Buy a used pair of fronts, they will be a direct bolt on, no mods
Thx

Adding mass, is exactly what I am trying to do, I looked at AP brakes, they wanted $6500 for 15in big brake kit

If you are buying a used set of calipers, rotors and pads, yes. They will all bolt up.

A nice summary of differences is here:

Look deeper. Starts on page 3. He gives track use feedback.

Yes and no.....Different part #s but the overall idea is the same. Not sure if the rotor hat offset is the same. The Caddy rotors have a different part #.
