Trunk won’t open
Car threw a nice little trick at me a few days ago. The truck clicks when I use the key fob or when I push the button on the door...but it will not unlock/unlatch.
I messed with it pushing down pretty hard...nothing. I only found out because I went to take the top down and got the message that the divider is not attached...so, I popped the trunk to fix it...except it didn’t work. I assume the only option is to remove the back seat and go in to use the emergency latch in the trunk. Of course that will really suck with the top up. Any other options? |
Thnk you are pretty well stuck on that.

I think you can get a better idea of what you’re in for by searching the stereo upgrade section for a convertible. I could have sworn I saw a White ZL1 torn apart. |
Need you to crawl through the back seat, dear... yep just like that.

There is a keyhole by the back seats to manually unlatch the trunk. They even give you a plastic 'wrench' to give you more leverage on the key. Check the manual.

Happened to me twice a few months ago. I pushed down on the trunk and then used the door panel trunk button to pop it again. That resolved it. Sounds like you've already pushed down on it. Try again and follow with the door panel trunk release button instead of the touchpad or keyfob.

Closed the trunk and stuck again. Good news is, I can get stuff out and get my top working, but will need to go to dealership for the fix. |
locked myself out the first year I put the car up for the winter and had to use the manual entry but have not had this happen to me YET! Please let us know what the dealer says.

Same thing here. Used keyhole behind driver rear seat to open.
