nice work chaz. i got some camaro wheels in dae or 3ds format that i could give you if you would like them
I model in Animation Master, wihich has a proprietary format. I think it can translate 3DS files, but not very well. May be worth a try. PM me.

WIP, for those who don't know, means "work in progress" Hence only the front clip, hood (incomplete) and tires so far.
still looking gr8 chaz
Thx Yenk.
Cool stuff!
looks cool
no prob chaz cant wait for the finished product
Awesome work. Hood lines don't really look that much different than the 2014/2015's. Maybe I just need to wait for the rest of the model to be completed.
Good work so far though. |
Well, make it FWD, and you have a fine car there!
Lol good work chaz - we all appreciate it |
Here's my first 3D speculative movie of the front clip of the 2016 Camaro.

Windshield and A pillar. (They were faked in the last two renders)
wow-- really look like the transformer 4 car
was just beginning to notice that. got a question chaz why do you always use red for the model? I remember in the beginning of the mustang you started with red as well.

Hood scoops shapes added (vents faked)
It's really tough to match the camera angles, but vital for the 3D model to be as accurate as possible. I spent more time today moving the camera to match the distance, angle and focal length and it still isn't a perfect match. |
I really like and understand what you are trying to do here. I just wish I had your talent. Great work.
Respect..
Great work. Inappreciate it |
Thanks guys. Yenko, I use red because it is a standout color for a sports car. It stays red initially for visual consistently. Once I've wrapped around all the sheet metal, I'll start to car it.
ah ok makes sense thanks for that little bit of info chaz

Hood vent now modeled. Real vents will OF COURSE look 1000x better than this clumsy placeholder.
If you don't mind what CAD program do you use?
It's called Animation Master.
Chaz, if you don't make a living doing this, you should. It's awesome work.
