10K Runflats Toasted :(
Never have I done a smokey burnout. Never have I done a donut. I HAVE slid out of the corner on several occasions. I don't track the car, or drive in the rain or any inclement weather, it is my second vehicle. I drive it like a sports car, but no burnouts, donuts or smokeshows. Slow leak in rear passenger and both are hit on the inner treadline.
Zoom in on either tire. What would cause them to wear like that? In less than 10K miles? 2022 Camaro 2SS

Bad alignment? Looks like too much negative camber to me. Definitely get that checked or the new tires will end up the same way.
Not that those tires tend to last very long anyway but you should get more than 10k out of them. |

I have 8500 miles on my 1SS and the fronts are already somewhat worn. Tires are stock Goodyear ROF Summer Performance. I'll probably get another couple of thousand miles before they'll need to be replaced. I'm not sure if this is normal.

After reading a few posts on here I see some others getting 10k out of the stock runflats. Wow I did not expect that. New tires every two years with moderately aggressive summer only driving? Stock replacements $908/set at their cheapest. Wasn't ready for that.
Looking at Michelin PS AS 4 $650/set this go round. Plus Amazon mobile inflator kit.

Sometimes the tire manufacturer gets a bad batch of rubber. I’ve had it happen on tires that weren’t run flats. Not sure about OEM tires, but most tire manufacturers pro-rate the tires based on their advertised tread wear life. I always replace my tires when they are below 5/32nds and usually get some credit back on a new set.

I have 6/32 left on my stock ROF after 16k miles in the first year with pretty even wear across the widths. While my total mileage is just over 20k, the other 4k miles were on Blizzak winter tires.
Lots of highway miles and plenty "spirited jaunts" but no burnouts or corner understeer.

You have a lot of inner wear, I would expect it to be more progressive and not narrowly focused since you're clearly not stanced like a slammed Honda. I can't tell if you're parked on top of that orange extension cord or if the right rear is so cambered we can see under the outer edge.
Definitely, the first step is an alignment to check toe and camber. It's possible that toe out would also do this.

The excessive inner wear is from toe, not camber. Either way, get it aligned.
Even if 10k miles is close to the expected life, it looks like you still have wear left before getting to the wear bars. Even if they're already at the bars (hard to tell in the photo), the inner shoulders wouldn't be showing cord like that if toe was properly set.

Or you're carrying a lot of weight in the rear, often? I agree with others, the wear on the inner is uncharacteristic of proper alignment or loading.
I'm surprised they're roached after just 10k. I don't expect a summer performance tire to last long anyway - we go through pilot 4S on another car every 20k and we don't drive it particularly aggressively, just occasionally spirited. On our 2nd set of Pilot 4S on the other car, and my 1SS just came with the F1 Asymmetric 3's. Around here, we'd be better suited to a performance All Season tire. I've had Cooper Zeon's in the past and loved them. General G-Max AS are great as well. They last a little longer, are a little better in wet, and they are more pliable in cool weather (30's-40's) |

Also notice though that BOTH tires are corded on the inner edge. While it could be an alignment issue, I think it's less likely because that would mean that the same "bad" setting on (way excessive) camber or toe was done on both sides.
But will be curious to hear if your alignment is off. |
