2018 pot hole blues

Ran into a pot hole while stretching her legs. Does anyone know if this can be repaired or a matching touch up paint .

It can likely be repaired, but matching the paint will be a problem. I would be more concerned with the integrity of the tire first.

That’s a pretty hard hit. I’d definitely get the tire and wheel checked out.

I had rim damage to my ZL1 and took the car to 2 wheel repair places for an estimate. The wheels are powder coated and they didn't have a repair process that would match the finish. There is another thread in here where a member was able to use a GM touch-up paint that closely matched the finish.

That's a great reason for me to check into tire and wheel protection policy at my Chevy dealer.

I heard some States will repair/replace your rim for you if it's damaged by a pothole.

Worth a try.

When I live in New York. I hit a pothole that straight up bent a $1000 spoked motorcycle wheel.

They denied my claim because "they have no record of that pothole" So I took the city to small claims court and won. What a shithole.

Don't let them get away with it man, make some noise and you'll get what you're owed.

I’m in Monroe Ny, I figure it’s going to be an uphill battle.
It’s worth a shot

On my new SS 1LE 2 months ago my dealer quoted $2000 for a three-year policy. Just about the same cost of one wheel. So I skipped it

In Florida, I would too. Never worried about breaking wheels on the roads down there.

The bent wheel and scratch are easy repairs. I spent $100 for a similar situation around a month ago. The others are correct, most counties/states will pickup the tab.

Problem for me is that even after fixing the wheel bend I feel like there exists a slight wheel bumpiness. It's hard to explain, there's no steering wheel vibration and the steering wheel is straight so I don't think it's an alignment issue.

I'm thinking of taking it into the dealer to see if they can offer a fix but unfortunately when there's these type of suspension damages it's kinda like guess your way from cheapest to most expensive part/solution and see if that fixes it.

Ohh and that "bumpy" feeling happens between 1-15 mph, after that it isn't noticeable, if anyone has experience please chime in...
