Front radar installation (resolved)

Good morning,
I would like to install front speed cameras on my Camaro!
I am looking for which fuse after ignition to install the positive in the front fuse box.

If you have an idea, thank you in advance.

Here is the cable that I will install in the fuse box.

Anyone of them. Preferably one that has connectors in a "not used" slot.

Ok, but where?
The control unit does not have to be permanently powered, but only when I switch on the ignition?

This is a picture of the rear fuse compartment. Assuming you actually want to tap an underhood fuse, I'd do the same that 95 imp suggested, find one that isn't used on your car (say, heated seat, steering wheel heater or headlamp leveling), yet has a fuse in the slot.

If you can't find any, check the amperage of your camera and choose the circuit that is the least important to you and has the highest amperage fuse. If you disagree, another reasonable angle is to hook it to F17 that protects the backup camera, at least this way both cameras will be logically on the same fuse.

Find one that is switched such as F51, which seems to be the PDR. It's the NPP on my car. The ones that say not used usually don't have any current. Possibly F50 might work. Be sure to get the orientation correct. The side with the red wire needs to go to the output side. If it's the other way, the red wire will be hot and the fuse for that circuit will be bypassed. Good luck.

I've got a couple in my fuse box..The layout is different in my '17 SS from your car.

His post shows the rear fuse box layout. I was about to post suggestions based on how I added my DRL's (F50), but then I noticed he wasn't working with the under-hood fuse box.

Here's how to determine line side and load side with your Add-a-Fuse

Fuse no. 45 is for the sunroof, it's 5A, my control unit consumes 300mA, is that enough?

A note of clarification because your post indicates you may have misread your fuse box diagram.

Fuse 45 should be the green 30 amp fuse below the one you have circled in red. The green fuse is the fuse for the sun roof per the fuse box diagram for my 2021. Not sure why I have a fuse there though, because I don't have a sun roof...

The 5A fuse circled in red in your photo is fuse 44. I can't help identify that circuit because fuse 44 shows as unused in my fuse box diagram.

The fuse circled in red is indeed the fuse for the sunroof, on the assembly line, the fuse boxes are standard and all the fuses are put there, even if there are not certain options.

Apparently not standard across all trim lines though? I just looked back at this old photo of the fuse box lid for my 2016 1LT. As you can see, it has fuse 44 listed as "not used" and there was no 5A fuse in that location (F44) on either of my two sixth gens (I currently have a 3LT). Both my 1LT and 3LT also show the 30A fuse as the sunroof, in position 45, the same as the 30A fuse shown in the picture you posted. Noting as an FYI - good luck with the project!

Do you know if there is an opening to pass a wire from the engine compartment to the passenger compartment?

lynyrd, I understand you are in Europe, but it seems you want us to spoonfeed you every bit of information to each question you ask. He says in the video that he removed the sound tube and reused its firewall opening for the cable, presumably with a new grommet.
