Personally I’d replace it.

I would order a replacement while you try to fix this one.
That is a lot of corrosion, not counting what you can't see.

To open the old one, I would first shine a light in those 9 rectangular slots around the bottom to see if there are holding tabs in there. Maybe you can pry those and get it open.

EDIT: Here are some links which may help:

Wow that is a lot of corrosion. Pretty sure you are going to need to replace it and the wiring harness.

Don't give up on opening that old one. Even if you have to cut it, I'm sure we would all like to see how bad it looks inside.

Do you have a water leak in the trunk? Park it outside?

That's long term corrosion, so unless that is something he has been doing for a couple of years, he has another problem.

+1 on that! Glad you've already ordered a new one lynrd (skynyrd fan?).
If so, +1 on that too!

I'm still a little concerned about whether the car has a collision in its past that has compromised the integrity of the interior.
I noticed the entire front end and rear diffuser has been replaced... did you instigate that change or was it already done when you bought the car?

Yeah, I'm a rebel and damn proud of it, sweet home Alabama.
Only Gary Rossington of the original band remains.

No, the car has never had an accident, the front and rear face I had them installed, it is a kit from ZL1

The circuit board burned and it was so hot that the bottom of the box suffered the consequences.
Sorry if I don't answer right away, I don't receive an email notification

No, it's oxidation that fell from the circuit board to the bottom of the fuse box.
it should be waterproof. Apparently not and I'm not the only one with water in the trunk.

You think the Bose amplifier needs to be replaced, there has been condensation in the module, which has created oxidation.
