I would also be curious to learn what went wrong, if anything, up to and past 50k miles.

97k on my 2017 SS. I've had the usual TCC shudder and I got the "triple flush" done under warranty. Warranty ran out and it came back at around 70 or 80k, so I bought the new Mobile 1 Dexron HP LV fluid and that fixed it.
I had the rubber hose that goes to the inlet of the oil cooler break at about 60k, this is supposedly a common problem, I don't know if it is a bad batch of hoses or what. My oil pan screws were also loose, which caused a very very slight leak of oil which didn't drop on the ground but was enough to make the oil pan collect dirt and get dirty, so my motor is no longer factory clean which is a pretty big deal to me. I didn't notice it until after warranty as well but I tightened them up. Besides issues that I have caused myself by putting in cams and ported heads, like my intake valve seats disintegrating, I haven't had any other problems. The problem is if I was oblivious to cars and didn't know any better besides what a shop or the dealer told me, I would think this car is just another Big Three POS, and I would immediately condemn it and go by another Toyota. Since I understand what's going on I was able to figure out my issues and fix them even out of warranty. I was guilty in that I should have caught the issues earlier, ex. I should have seen leaking coolant and oil, but up until recently I was living in an apartment with no place to work on my vehicles. |

Got nearly 98,000 km on this 2017 2SS convertible. Had the A8 shudder, was fixed with the new trans fluid flush. Love the power the handling the luxury and the extra attention from admirers. I've had Miata's, corvettes, jeeps and many motorcycles but this is the one vehicle I've been waiting for. Plus I get 28mpg US

There are several threads just like this.

64k for me
Only minor issue so far... Blown engine... And yes, spun bearing.
