U0109 Code after Onstar module removal

Hi. I had a cell code which is u0109 Lost Communication with fuel pump control module after remove onstar module due to battery leak. I had a battery leak test and everything seems good after onstar removal, but now i have a cell code. There is a link, he said that it may occurs.

6. The small colored connectors are antennas. Unplug them by gently prying the side of the inset clip out with a small flat screwdriver and pull the connector off. Without antennas, the box can't send/receive data. DON'T unplug J1 through J4! You'll throw "Lost Communication with fuel pump control module codes." There were no J3 or J4 connectors on my car, if yours has them, leave them alone.

But i dont wanna put it back due to battery parasitic loss. What can i do?

If the Onstar module is operating correctly, it should not cause a battery problem.

I wonder what the root cause of your problem is?

You need to put the onstar unit back in but before you do remove the cell phone connection inside. The ant you unplugged is a dummy, onstar uses a cell phone with a back up battery good for 4 years. Inside you can unplug the cell phone. Open the unit up and you will find a small buss connector with pins connecting the cell phone to the unit. Simply unplug the the connector from the the 2 units connecting them and close it back up and plug it back in. onstar will no longer work but you won't get the errors. !st thing I did to mine when I bought it.

Try unplugging the cell phone and see if it still drains. Other than that I don't know.
