Brake Pads / Rotors
It is about time to do front pads on my ZL1.
For the guys who have done brakes already, do you guys suggest just a pads swap or pads/rotors. I feel some light grooves on the rotor face but nothing terrible.

If you're not getting any shaking when braking then I wouldn't worry about the rotors right away, I would just go over them with some 100 grit sandpaper to rough them up and get some of the old pad material off and then install new pads and go through the normal break-in cycle for the next few hundred miles.

Liq TenExp, I am curious... How many miles do you have?

about 15k miles. Three HPDE on them, about 5-6 hours on track.

I wouldnt touch the rotors - im 4 sets of pads and 17 days in and am just at the point of replacing. Im running consumable destroying times at summit point and vir. Pads seem to loose some performance at 4mm. Pics would help to be certain but you should be just fine. Im running stock pads

I like the stock pads. I'm sure I could dig around for threads on lower dust options if I went that way.

I went with a low dust pad, and enjoyed having clean wheels but it seemed I was changing the pads out all the time and I didnt get the confidence I had with the stockers. After the 4th pad change and finally rotors I went back to the stockers and havent looked back....dirty wheels and all.

Lots of other guys have gone back to, or stuck with, the factory pads.
I just crossed 17k miles on mine and have not tracked it yet. They look like they could go another 4 or 5k before I need them. I was just curious as to how many miles people are getting tracked and untracked cars...
